This is a dude ready to put fiberglass over an IronMan helmet, this would be a cool VR mask, providing you had the interior measured, wouldn't want the screen smashing into the eyeballz

Make Cardboard Stronger Than Metal

---WARNING--- If you want to make cardboard stronger than metal you use fiberglass and resin the structure of fiberglass depends on how much resin you use, but be careful fiberglass is super itchy and super-easy to get everywhere making it impossible to remove it (almost impossible) to get rid of it! leaving you in a miserable mess. Before cooling and readying fiberglass "to set" it can be dangerous to deal with because it's extremely corrosive until it cools and hardens, like leaving your hand in concrete possibly worse i've never tried either ---WARNING---

However with that warning out of the way it's possible to make cardboard actually stronger than metal if your experienced with fiber-glass and thanks to the internet anybody can be an expert with it, if you really need or want to paint it cheaply then i'd advise the "fiberglass door paint" or carbon pigment the resin, if your looking for the cheaper option

This thin piece of "glass fiber" mixed with resin glue can form stronger than metal in rigid complicated shapes

It's very itchy so you need a way to prevent the glass piercing irritating your skin with a bees wax or something along that line to use for paint and create a barrier of wax and resin, painting fiberglass can get expensive so people tend to just wax it like surfers and cool dudes like that (prevents wear and tear) Surfers love to use wax on their fiberglass surf-boards perhaps we can take a note off those groovy dudes

Send me a link if you make one of those large bubble head VR shoulder rest things or a set of cardboard light-guns, cardboard skyrim sword, hell even a VR cockpit for space simulators, the space simulators they have at the moment are VR capable so that would be really cool, the ability to make your own cockpit seat thruster from cardboard (no colouring it in you aint 5yrs lol) then fiberglass it

Always do fiberglass outside with a haz suit or in a controlled environment and never take anything back with you and polish it (good, raw & bloody) outside until sure no glass remains with an extra thick gooey barrier of glue for smoothness, even then double check before bringing into your home, basically anything you make from cardboard from then you can convert to "steel" happy building ˚◡˚

careful before putting anywhere near face it is essentially glass be sure you added extra wax as a barrier like on surf-boards

I'm currently building something myself from cardboard, well paper mache, but i fear people won't know what "mache" is without me explaining (in depth) so lets just say paper! i'm not currently working on anything VR fiberglass but that would make you believe i don't walk the talk which i assure you is not the case, i'm dabbling with ebikes so my spare-time is being taken up with this.

I'd love to do the VR fiberglass, but i'd need space and i reside in a flat for the meanwhile, mentally preparing for it though, considering it's 90% mental thought (a battle about to be fought) it's a great place to begin, so i'm thinking VR while working on my e-bike, i'm a strange one, i know

Precise Mechanical engineering on my e-bike is no small feat however, funnily i wouldn't be working on any of this if i wasn't given the wrong advice on youtube and snapped my e-bike hub gear case with the wrong tool, turns out it's an angel in guise as i have no choice but too dip my toes into the complicated (but fun) world of fiberglass.

i like to take good advice and spin it on it's head, but i still use caution, thinking of buying an awesome straw, even a straw Snoop-doggy-poo-poo would say is dope

you can cause serious harm to yourself while this stuff is still wet, i really mean it when i say caution is advised
