Come visit an Ancient Monastery on Georgia this time for an ancient religious crusade from the 6th Century right on the border with Azerbaijan this would have been the border of the Crusades where Christianity clashed with Islam, Christianity wouldn’t having got any further to the M-East than here. This location must have been at the forefront of religious war and tension with this Monastery being at such close proximity with Turkey and Iran and if my history classes have taught me anything, those countries weren’t too big into Christianity, hell the Turks genocided and murdered a million Christians in Armenia just over 100-years ago their only crime was being Christian so it would be hard to imagine what this area was like 600 or 700 years ago
The Caves of this Monastery, you’ll never get a better idea of what the Crusades would have felt like than this location, i would imagine these caves were built for fortitude
An Orthodox Priest of the ancient Monastery, these priests aren’t for show, you soon realize that the priests in Russia or close to the M-east are pretty committed to their cause
