GIMP - price = free

The first one on our list is GIMP it has been around for a while it’s available for Windows / Linux / Mac and it’s currently open source meaning fans of this software are not restricted to copyright and can manipulate it’s code modding and sharing changes with fans of the GIMP community, it’s a fan favorite

Paint.net - price = free

No2 on our list is another fan favourite with less features but has a practical no nonsense approach to image editing and some have difficulty choosing between this and GIMP, this is modestly called Paint.net and less glitzy than GIMP but it prefers performance than showmanship, this can also stand toe to toe with the pay for apps like Corel Draw unfortunatley it only works for Windows currently with no plans of rolling it out for Mac or Linux
