The Hot springs come from the boil from the Geothermal center of the Earth that creates the effects of steamy lakes and geysers and exploding geysers that are appropriately fenced off in order not to scald visitors. There’s heated lakes you can swim and bask in. This may seem tranquil and peaceful but keep in mind if anything disastrous happens to the earth's core this community will be the first to see that reckoning, that’s one ticket i wouldn’t want a front row seat to see, WOOOOSShhhhhh scattered like fleas on a cats back, i wish the locals no harm and wish them well but let’s be a little realistic here for a moment especially since New Zealand lies on dangerous fault lines even without that i would be a bit wary of here
