The Hundred Falls are quite literally hundreds of vein waterfalls gushing down the side of a high rock face. Usually, when you park up to wait for the Homer Tunnel you’ll have enough time to jump out of your car and snap some pics of the hundreds of falls around the valley.

These falls are especially majestic after a clearing storm. The water cascades off the cliffs forming waterfalls all around the park.

The falls are located just past the Homer Tunnel and if it’s not raining or hasn’t recently there’s not much to see. Luckily, Milford Sound is in the wettest region in New Zealand so chances are you will see something.
When there’s been heavy rain you really don’t need to find a lookout spot to see this beautiful, picturesque effect.
