Where is the lost dutchmans gold?
The Lost Dutchman's Gold Mine (also known by similar names) is, according to legend, a rich gold mine hidden in the southwestern United States. The location is generally believed to be in the Superstition Mountains, near Apache Junction, east of Phoenix, Arizona.

Ancient overnight camp shade is important for clues as the ancients would have used similar areas for camp shade and kept treasures closely buried

What’s now referred to as the “Peralta Massacre” occurred sometime around 1848. A Mexican family was allegedly slain by Apaches after searching the land for gold. The Peralta family was said to have discovered the famed Dutchman’s gold mine within the cursed Superstition Mountains. It was here, during what should have been a routine gold expedition, that the family was allegedly ambushed and slain by Apaches.

This area attracts tourists just south of Arizona, some claim the wrong kind of tourists searching for the “Lost Dutchmans mine” in an area now dubbed Superstition Mountain because of the bizarre disappearances and brutal death scenes the police and rescue parties regularly come across. The native Americans already have a phrase for this mountain and it’s no better than the folklore one than the one it had, it’s dubbed “Thunder God” and it protects the mine, greed corrupts and people get greedier when searching for treasure their absolutely sure exists and will do anything to keep their paths hidden in search of untold riches.

Lets travel back a while to wear these stories started from cradle to grave, it appears when the Spanish arrived here they were most interested in these mountain ranges as the stories of Gold and the Spanish Inquisition were no fools when searching for gold, they were very experienced gold hunters at that time hence why they traveled to america in 1540 from the Mexican territory they fought hard to claim to investigate the native american tales and claims of wealth and peril of the great “Thunder God” who protects vast resources within it’s mountain. They were warned that travelling within this mountain would destroy them, the Spaniards at the time were searching for the “Seven Golden Cities of Cibola” to which they were already successfully plundering gold in the past who were experienced gold hunters and were most interested in this area

More than half of the Spanish explorers would vanish in the search for gold within these ranges, when finally discovered they were found decapitated, this was a time of peace between the white man and Indians, war wouldn’t start for another 65+yrs within those tribes, so the decapitation would remain a mystery until the present day until regular backpackers and explorers began to disappear in mysterious violent circumstances just like the folklore reminiscent of the Spanish attempts in the 15th century they were found mutilated in much the same way. It wouldn’t be until several centuries later that gold and valuable resources would indeed be discovered here in 1845 by the name of Don Miguel Peralta from Mexico, he called this the “sombrero mine” and sent back for help to excavate it within months they were getting millions of Pesos in carrot gold, by 1848 the native Americans would chase the Mexicans out for dishonoring them

(skip to here for the very real grizzly, brutal and spooky death stories)
Some say there’s no superstition or curse but instead man’s greed instead not wanting to share any loot as tens of dozens of grizzly deaths are accounted for around here, (possibly thousands) there have been some claims assassination attempts with people trying to rain boulders down on anyone who passes as a new Jersey man and his sons would claim crushing one of his sons legs that would be claimed in a police report, the same person would chase deer hunters a year later with rocks. In 1910 the skeleton of a woman would be found by police with gold nuggets strewn about with nuggets being unexplained and remains a mystery with each year passing with more and more unexplained deaths, the government started to show concern. Some other mountain inhabitants would even be put into insane asylums by the local marshals after capture, their minds were so far gone they would die fairly fast after captivity, skulls and skeletons would be found in these ranges after the 1900’s further spooking people as these were recent deaths and some would just disappear completely. This was enough! the government came in now, now things start getting strange, the government began investigating early claims about superstition mountain he himself would vanish into a grizzly death, his name was Adolph Ruth from Washington, D.C who claimed to have found the elusive map would end up with him missing with his skull being found a year later with two holes in his skull and his skeleton found half a mile, deemed a suicide by government, i wonder how he got the 2nd bullet in! shortly away with his camp perfectly calm and no sign of struggle. What makes alot of these deaths eery is alot of this never happened too far from the needle of the canyons which is the main center pillar you can see up there which is where the natives said the danger was centuries prior.

The Pillar can be viewed on Google Map Locations here known as the “needle”, “The Sombrero”, “Dutchman mine”, the list goes on, this needle has so many names from so many different communities, countries and organisations, paranormal investigators just know this place as extremely cursed and that’s enough you need to know before trekking here

In December 1936, Roman O’Hal, a New York city trader was found dead after falling searching for the mine, an old prospector who found gold samples from the mine would be found shot also, in with a gunshot wound into the stomach a few months later that year on the side of the trail with a sack of gold beside him, it was deemed an accident! Even a famous gold prospector of the time would vanish his name was James Cravey, this time though he attracted media attention as he would enter in helicopter to “Weaver’s Needle” during 1947 with the intention of finally discovering the Lost Dutchman’s Mine, he would be found in similar circumstances with his head decapitated found away from his body like the others, he failed to return so a search party was sent to find the grim and brutal discovery, again the local authorities put this down to “no foul play”

Just South from Phoenix Arizona, in the area that's literally called "Superstition", me thinks you protest too much
You know when folklore tales takes on it's own name, somethings getting covered up, the Sheriff is probably like the the Lt. Sheriff from Nightmare in Elmstreet, in absolute denial of the going on's, personally i'd love to speak to him so if you live near the area it's probably worth checking out, and if your a fan of Nightmare on elm Street as i am, it's definitely worth checking out, even poker players believe in curses

During the years that would follow more and more headless skeletons would be found with their skulls turning up with holes in them in unusual circumstances. In 1960,61,62 more and more headless corpses would be found, In October 1961 hikers would discover the headless corpse of an Austrian student named Franz Harrier, the skull was found 5 days later to identify him. Five days later they would also discover the case of a San Francisco painter known as William Harvey, maybe they deemed his death non-suspicious also? January of 1961 a brutal death of Hilmer Bohen would be discovered by a family picnicking discovered his corpse below the sand, it would turn out he was a Utah prospector shot in the back and buried in a shallow grave. Two months later they would find another gold prospector shot in the back in similar circumstances, then 3 years discovering another prospector Jay Clapp who had 15yrs experience navigating these mountains. Even today backpackers travelers and adventurers go missing, never go to these locations alone and go armed with caution, just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean there’s nobody watching or after you. Paranoia is an evolutionary trait that helped us survive centuries in the stoneage, Paranoia keeps many people alive in many cases (use it) the legend of the Dutchman mine continues today

1). Never travel alone
2). Never travel here without prior warning to friends
3). Go Armed and secure
4). Be aware of your surroundings
5). Don’t get decapitated or get holes in your skull, keep your skull attached to your body at all times and at least wear a GPS so they can locate your headless corpse
