I think we can all appreciate a Reef that has the mass to grow vertically, i imagine the sailors aren't as excited, but a reef is a protected species so tough popeye. There's even vertical arch reefs here, either these reefs are artificial or pirates back in the day went to town here

There's actually still pirates in around these islands the police are overwhelmed because the of the formation of the islands making it almost impossible to catch, smugglers/cartels and poachers, coming from the Philippines to Australia where the money is almost certainly lucrative to them, better be with an armed guide when lurking around these islands. They almost always stay clear of Indonesia because of the death penalty imposed creating a greater bottle-neck of them at this location
