The Suicide forest formerly known as the sea of trees or it’s former name Aokigahara forest has been hijacked by the name of Suicide forest and this term is unlikely to be changed anytime soon as this forest has claimed as many as 25 thousand suicides since 1971, it has gotten so bad that of the year 2000 the local media and government stopped reporting about it as they seen no way to curb the deaths, chances are by simply strolling through this forest you’ll likely be unaware your walking yards away from a suicide victim.The suicide forest of Japan is located just North East of the most famous volcano in all of Japan Mt Fuji, most cities in main land Japan can see Mt Fuji and is a Mecca of sorts for their culture, the volcano brings peace good will and prosperity in this culture and many cultures as volcanic territory is very good soil for agriculture and crops so volcanoes tend to have a good luck feel in ancient literature but as of recently it has had a more sinister purpose. Without death there is no life so the volcano also attracts teens and mid 30’s to 40’s

Panorama360s blocked off with suicide messages, you can see with this location that it’s very difficult for the light to penetrate making the atmosphere even that more chilling as everything is still and there is no animal life around as almost if the animals can sense something wrong
Japanese culture practically encourages suicide as honorable when you look at their mythology all the way to current news in the mafia Yakuza from the Kamikaze pilots of WWII to the Samurai warriors, sacrificing one's life for one's perceived failure can be seen as honorable in Japanese culture, even in Japanese media and anime and occult horror, suicide is an occurring theme. The film Suicide Club always jumps to my mind when i think of Suicide in Japanese culture which is a japanese cult film about mass murder, the opening scenes see’s a group of dozens of school children leap in front of a train in a bloody mess, and detectives trying to work out the string of mass suicides throughout the Japanese cities so it’s easy to say mainstream Japan is soaked in suicide folklore
People (main-media) say it's bad taste to bring light to suicides in such subjects. Personally we think it's extremely ignorant to ignore it, wishing it won't wash it away, ignoring suicides is as ignorant as you can get

The 1st known recorded suicide was in this forest was a buddhist monk on a hunger strike then other monks would follow suit and do the same and so the legend of the suicide forest was born, the neighboring volcano of Mt Fuji is known to even affect navigational devices with the metallic soot in the soil and air making it difficult for even the more advanced explorers to navigate their way. With such dense forest also makes the forest eerily still, dense and quiet with movement mostly from the tops of the trees and the wind shoots over with hardly any animal life to speak of which is another separate phenomenon as japan is known for it’s variety of wildlife, the animals stay clear of this particular forest for unknown reasons, some even claim supernatural reasons
